Tours on Friday, Saturday and Sunday always begin at 7905 Old San Antonio Road. If you purchased a Friday, Saturday or Sunday ticket you will register at this location, The Boil Shack and Petting Zoo. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled tour time to adjust for registration timing. This registration location is called The Boil Shack and is near the front entrance of Grapetown Vineyard and Farm. This fun Boil Shack, Petting Zoo and Sports Bar (with a Dance Hall and Live Music) is a sister location and connected to our farm and larger property. Here you will be registered, given directions, issued wristbands and meet and feed some goats, alpacas and more!
Our Veteran Owned and Operated Animal Sanctuary welcomes guests for an intimate experience deep in the Texas Hill Country. Tremendous views, award winning wines and exotic animals thrive on our working, family farm. Grapetown Vineyard is home to Fredericksburg’s only winery and giraffe experience with a full bar (liquor, beer and wine) and animal sanctuary on site! Home to Giraffe, Lemurs, Zebra, Kangaroo, Ostrich, Camels, Bison, Capybarra, Mini Cows, Antelope, Deer, Pygmy Goats and a whole lot more. Come and enjoy our petting zoo, feed and take a picture with a giraffe and ride on our tram over 85 beautiful acres!
Large groups and bachelorette parties are welcome. We can easily accommodate tour buses and groups of all sizes! Private tours are available daily and can be coordinated by contacting us via email or purchasing your weekday passes online. Overnight accommodations available on site. Specific animal interactions available, such as baby goat, lemur and kangaroo feedings.
Hungry? A short drive, walk or bike ride from Grapetown Vineyard, Bankersmith Boil Shack is part of the same farm property and a cherished sister location. For Friday, Saturday and Sunday tours, your experience will be held at both The Bankersmith Boil Shack and Grapetown Vineyard and Farm. Both properties are connected and literally across the street from each other and part of our larger family farm. You will need to arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled tour time for registration at 7905 Old San Antonio Road, the Bankersmith Boil Shack.
There are absolutely no refunds under any conditions. Passes can be transferred to a future date for up to two years.
