CLIMATE: Warm summer/mild winter
BEST TIME TO VISIT: Any time
COMMENTS: Two miles south of Grapetown near South Grape Creek, thirteen miles south of Fredericksburg. Take several country roads to get to the town site.
Bankersmith is similar to Grapetown because it ceased to exist after the disuse of the Fredericksburg & Northern Railroad. Bankersmith began as a depot on the railroad named after Temple D. “Banker” Smith. The land is on private property and the station was destroyed along with the original residences.
